Sunshine Cozy Cottages are the perfect combination of Value, Comfort and Charm. They are conveniently located on Gulf Blvd within walking distance to eateries, shops and directly across from the Seventh Street public beach access.
The 16 “Sunshine Yellow” cottages are tucked away on their own large private courtyard, with individual parking spots behind or beside each cottage. Tropical foliage, decorative metal sculptures, visiting Ibis and cranes all enhance the charm of this special nostalgic beach town property.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage with a very spacious living room, large well-stocked kitchen, and an adjoining dining area with a large table for six. Each individual cottage has a private porch or deck with a sitting area to relax. The cottage was homey and had plenty of space to spread out and feel comfortable. The kitchen had everything you need, and the bathroom included towels, wash cloths, starter TP and a blow dryer. Donna, Tony and Erin pay attention to details and have worked hard to include the little things- thoughtful amenities AND the most important things-clean comfy beds with quality bedding.
Our cottage had a sea turtle themed decor which was adorable and Donna left gift bags with shampoo and conditioner samples, cookies and bottled water. They have beach chairs, beach umbrellas and a few inner tubes etc for guests to use and provide a few beach towels in each cottage. The wifi was good and the televisions came with numerous apps including Fubo setup to stream live tv. There is also a convenient coin washer and dryer for guests to use.
Sunshine Cozy Cottages is a wonderful place to stay. We met so many nice people here, many of whom return every year. This special place harkens back to the days before quaint little cottages and beach homes were replaced by condos and high-rises. So if you miss the good and simple life, we highly recommend Sunshine Cozy Cottages for your next stay in Indian Rocks Beach. We’ve already made our reservation for next year!

If you want a place that is luxourious, modern and unfriendly, then
book a spot across the street and deal with snotty neighbours beside,
above or below you, at double the price.
Here, at the Cozies, as my wife likes to call them, you have your own
home away from home, a well appointed kitchen, a large living/dining room, good sized bedrooms, a spacious
porch and friendly neighbours, many of which have returned year after year. This is our seventh visit.
Yes, you might read some less than positive reviews, but they are from
folks that just don’t get it. This place is unique and special.
The management, Darlene and Donna, could not be more
accommodating – if you have a problem, they will sort it out to your
satisfaction. And then there’s Chris, your on site hostess, who performs her chores well above the call of duty.
She has become a dear friend and we look forward to seeing her each year when we return. She puts the cozy in the cottages.
These roomy cottages are nearly 100 years old and are showing their
age, but we have seen steady improvements and updates – renovated bathrooms
and kitchens and much more done every time we return.
If you want an inexpensive alternative to the overpriced and less than
cozy choices on the beach (the Cozies are only 60 seconds
from the sand) then this is the place for you!
